NAFIJ marked World Press Freedom Day 2082 BS with a programme highlighting the challenges facing financial journalists in Nepal. The event featured a panel of senior journalists discussing cases of pressure from advertisers, threats from corporate interests, and the erosion of editorial independence in financial media. NAFIJ released a statement calling on the government and regulatory bodies to strengthen protections for financial journalists.
The programme was attended by representatives from the Press Council Nepal, Federation of Nepali Journalists, and international media freedom organisations.
